Mission:

To recruit better candidates from across Ohio who are interested in running for office now or in the future, provide them with the knowledge, tools, and confidence needed to run for office, and develop leaders dedicated to serving their communities and advancing Ohio’s future. 

Program Overview:

The Ohio Institute for Political Leadership is a nonpartisan initiative by the Ohio Chamber of Commerce to recruit and train candidates across the state who want to be appointed or run for elected office. It’s important that individuals who have an interest in running for office at the local or state level have resources to learn more about what it takes to get elected. This program offers an intensive, all-day training designed to prepare aspiring candidates for running a campaign. This program combines expert and practical insights, and networking opportunities to ensure participants are equipped with a foundation for running a campaign.
