There are a number of federal and state grant and loan programs that are available for Ohio businesses.  Below you will find some of the current opportunities for either grant or loan funding.  Please check back on this page, as it will be updated regularly.

Program: The Kitty Fund
Agency: Private
Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: June 1, 2023
Information on Grant: The Kitty Fund makes small micro investments in Moms who are running employer-based small businesses with two or more employees. The award was created in honor of Mother’s Day and Founder’s First CEO Kim Folsom‘s mother, Catherine “Kitty” Abrams Tadlock Webster, who passed away in March of 2020. Must be a mother-led business.

Program: Warrior Rising Grant
Agency: Private
Amount: $20,000
Closing Date: May 31, 2023
Information on Grant: Warrior Rising strives to accept and assist veterans at any point in the process of starting their own business, whether it is only a concept or if they have actual operations. Must be a veteran-owned business.

Program: Fearless Strivers Grant
Agency: Private
Amount: $10,000
Closing Date: August 31, 2023
Information on Grant: Apply for digital tools to help you get and sustain your business online, and priceless one-on-one mentorship so you can continue to bolster your business. Available to minority and women-owned businesses.

Program: Workplace Wellness Grant Program
Agency: Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation
Amount: $15,000
Closing Date: Rolling
Information on Grant: Employers who want to improve the health and wellness of their workers can benefit from this program that assists employers with establishing training and programs to reduce health risk factors to meet the needs of their employees.  No matching funds required.  This grant is to start a new wellness program.

Program: Food Supply Chain Guaranteed Loan Program
Agency: USDA
Loan: up to $40,000,000
Closing Date: Rolling
Information on Grant: The Food Supply Chain Guaranteed Loan Program is a part of USDA’s Build Back Better initiative to strengthen critical supply chains and our food system. This program guarantees loans of up to $40 million for qualified lenders to finance food systems projects, specifically for the start-up or expansion of activities in the middle of the food supply chain. The program will support new investments in infrastructure for food aggregation, processing, manufacturing, storage, transportation, wholesaling, and distribution to increase capacity and create a more resilient, diverse, and secure U.S. food supply chain.

Information on Grant: The Amber Grant is designed to support women owned business owners with anything and everything. Must be a women owned business

Program: Restaurant Disaster Relief Fund
Amount: $10,000
Closing Date: Rolling
Information on Grant: To help restaurants recover in times of critical need, DoorDash has partnered with Hello Alice to create the Restaurant Disaster Relief Fund. The fund supports restaurants impacted by natural disasters like fires, floods and hurricanes, and provides relief through $10,000 grants.
